Anything but me...

I wish I were a stone, a tree,
a bird flying free, anything. It's hell to be me.

I never want to get out of bed,
It's useless I'm already dead.

Each day I go through the motions,
Blessed are they; who have no emotions.

I brood, I wonder, I instigate and cry,
Caught in a vicious circle with nothing left to try.

This is a poem which I wrote last year. I know it's lame, but hell I felt good finding that scrap of paper in my coat pocket.

Grey

What's the use of having a color TV if life is in shades of grey?

My mobile standby note reads "don't call, don't pick up."

On Refugees

A very interesting blog which I came across today:
you won't regret it

Baghdad Burning
"A refugee is someone who isn’t really welcome in any country- including their own... especially their own."

News Bits

Selections from the news bar about a week ago[it took me a while to decide wether to post this or not]:
  • Venezuela demands that the UN's Security Council be removed from the United states.
  • 10 Iraqis killed and dosens wounded in terrorist suicide bombing.
  • Syrian T.V: 'Prameretz' reports that the Syrian cooperation with 'Hariri's' murder investigation was satisfying.
  • Future T.V: 'Prameretz' reports that there was more Syrian cooperation needed with 'Hariri's' murder investigation.
[one report, two contradictory readings, no surprise there!!]
  • Tens  of  Iraqies  killed in sectarian violence, millitants open fire on a mosque.
  • Hugo Chavez asks the Vattican to admit that the pope's words on Islam were a mistake and demanded an apology.
[This guy is my 'Man of the Year'. I see him as a  Geuvara-Abdul Nasser mixed into one man]

I Miss Blogging

It's been a month since I last blogged anything, today I realized how much I missed writing here! I know it's nothing much but it means alot to me, writing about anything is like an outlet to me, I feel like it's draining my negative energy away..
I can't wait till I have my pc running again : (

Till Further Notice...

I'm on "blog-a-pause" till i get my pc fixed, damn those freakin' gigabyte motherboards, now i'm gonna have to replace everything; everything means some good money. hmmmfffffff...

Syrian-Lebanese Borders, Inside View

I've been along the Syrian-Lebanese Border points for the last two days Since I'm part of the Red Crescent's Disaster Response Team, things aren't good and they don't seem to be getting any better soon.
More numbers of refugees are coming in everyday, some of them can't go in because they don't have any credentials so the only choices they have are to stay at the borders and wait for something to happen or go back to Lebanon....
We ,the Red Crescent, were giving out water and juice and whatever other Foods we Received in the first two days, and a little kid, probably an 8-year-old, comes to me and says: "Please give me two bottles of juice for my younger sisters, I don't want any for me..." I still hear him say it over and over in my mind, war makes little children grow old, it takes alot of things from them that they'll never get back, Damn.

I'm home now but I'm going over again today and I think I'll be on a 3-day shift, more on the refugees when I come back again
